Bulking out the non-human numbers with this trio from Alternative Armies. Further ink-upon-drybrush practice – not sure I’ve quite got the hang of it, yet. I’ve got some cheap make up brushes (to Mrs Doodler’s amusement) to see if they’ll help soften the dusty effect.
The ‘skin’ tone comes from my favourite of the Army Painter washes – sepia. Love the different colours it brings out depending on basecoat – compare this to the same wash over light brown on these orcs. Gives a nicely vibrant but not neon bright yellow hue.
